How does BOTOX® work?
BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines and crow’s feet—the repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting over the years. Your provider will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of your crow’s feet lines and frown lines between your brows.
How many BOTOX® injections will I receive?
The number of injections you will receive varies. Some patients do require slightly more units and some require slightly less depending on muscle mass, movement, treatment goals, etc. This, and pricing will be discussed during your private consultation.
How long is the recovery time?
After your treatment, you can resume your day. There is minimal downtime making this treatment easy to perform over a lunch hour.
How long does the BOTOX® treatment take?
Your provider will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatments for you. The actual injection process takes about 10 minutes.
When will I see results?
Botox results will not appear instantly. You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines. It takes 2 weeks to see the full expression of the treatment, with results lasting up to 4 months.
