Renee Alwan Percell, MMS, PA-C received her Masters in Medical Science-Physician Assistant Studies in August 2005 at the Arizona School of Health Sciences. During PA school, she completed her OB/GYN rotation with Dr. Michele Couri.
Her career in women’s health began well before PA school. After graduating from Marquette University, she joined the Peace Corps and was placed in the Eastern Caribbean country of St. Lucia where she worked at a women’s clinic on the southern part of the island.
After PA school, Renee worked at a community health center for 5 years. Here, she provided preventative and acute care for women and children where she was always mindful to serve as an active listener to her female patients, most of whom had challenging lives, often with several children.
A passion for women’s healthcare and champion for women globally and locally, Renee holds the utmost respect for women because she understands they are always multitasking, often taking care of everyone but themselves and often just plain tired-yet persevere. She is looking forward to helping women in our community and providing optimism and excellence in patient care.
Renee and her husband, Jay have 3 beautiful children: Micah (6), Ezra (3), and Adele (6) months. She’s a member of her children’s School Club at Corpus Christi Catholic School and enjoys gardening and yoga.
