Michele A. Couri, M.D., FACOG, ABIHM is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She is appointed to the medical staff at OSF, UnityPoint Health-Methodist Medical Center, and UnityPoint Health-Proctor Hospital. She entered private practice in 2001 in Peoria, where she serves as the Medical Director at the Couri Center for Gynecology and Integrative Women’s Health.

In 2011, Dr. Couri completed a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine under the direction of world-renowned Dr. Andrew Weil. In December 2013, she completed her Fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative, and Functional Medicine from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine through the University of South Florida. Dr. Couri is also board-certified by the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. She has completed SottoPelle® Therapy Training for subcutaneous bioidentical hormone pellet therapy. She believes that balancing hormones makes a significant difference in the quality of life for patients of all ages.

She is passionate about providing comprehensive care to achieve optimal health and hormone balance. Her practice aims to combine the best aspects of traditional Western medicine with the most effective, scientifically-based complementary therapy, drawing from ancient healing traditions. She has created a lifestyle program called TLC™ that has significantly improved the health and well-being of hundreds of her patients. In 2016, she completed training for MonaLisa Touch™ laser therapy for vaginal health, being the first to offer this life-changing therapy in central Illinois. Also in 2016, she completed her laser certification for the state of the art Icon™Aesthetic System. This multi-platform laser treats unwanted facial and body hair, surgical and acne scars, stretch marks, pigmentation, sun/age spots, wrinkles, rosacea, and facial veins. In 2019, she completed course-work with the American Institute of Integrative Oncology, to allow her to support the challenges and complexities of cancer better.

She is surrounded by a fantastic team of providers who share the Couri Center vision and patient-first philosophy. She is also blessed with a wonderfully supportive husband and six inspiring children.
